2 killed in Ashtabula County crash

ASHTABULA COUNTY, Ohio — Two girls are useless and one man has been injured following a crash in Ashtabula County late Wednesday afternoon.

In line with the Ohio State Freeway Patrol, a Ford Escape being pushed by 56-year-old Minda Shun of Western Ohio was touring east on South Denmark Street when she did not yield to a Ford F-150 on the State Route 193 intersection. The truck, headed northbound on that highway, slammed into the automobile round 5:34 p.m.

Each Shun and her passenger, 77-year-old Judith Huggins of Dorset, died on the scene. Officers say Huggins was sporting her seatbelt, however Shun was not. The 21-year-old man who was driving the pickup was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening accidents.

The incident is at present underneath investigation.
