The Cleveland Police Department is investigating a three-car crash that left several people injured including six children on Tuesday.
Officials responded to I-480 West at West 150th Street around 9 a.m. for reports of a multiple vehicle crash. At the scene, investigators learned that a Chrysler Sebring rear-ended a Honda Odyssey which struck a Jeep Renegade, causing both to stop in traffic.
The driver of the Chrysler, a 56-year-old man, had the be extricated from the car by Cleveland Fire. He was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center with serious injuries.
The driver of the Odyssey, a 44-year-old man, was also taken to MetroHealth with injuries. His passengers, six children, ages 12 to 14 years old were all transported to MetroHealth Medical Center with serious injuries.
There is no update on the conditions of any of the victims at this time.
The driver of the Renegade, identified as a 35-year-old woman, was not injured.
The crash is still being investigated, however, speed is believed to be a factor.
