CLEVELAND — Be careful out there! As another round of sweltering heat hits Northeast Ohio today, an air quality alert is now in effect for multiple counties with “unhealthy” conditions for sensitive groups.
This air quality alert has been activated in the following counties for the entire day Tuesday:
“If you are in the sensitive groups category of children, the elderly and those with breathing difficulties, please monitor your outdoor activity and check air quality readings at airnow.gov,” officials said.
The air quality alert comes as highs are expected to reach near 90 degrees throughout the region. But this excessive heat won’t last for much longer because cooler air is on the horizon with highs only expected to reach the low 60s for Friday and Saturday.
