WILMINGTON, Del. — President-elect Joe Biden can have an all-female senior communications workforce at his White Home, led by marketing campaign communications director Kate Bedingfield.
Bedingfield will function Biden’s White Home communications director, and Jen Psaki, a longtime Democratic spokeswoman, can be his press secretary. Psaki has already been working with Biden’s workforce, serving as one of many foremost spokespeople for the transition. Each Bedingfield and Psaki are veterans of the Obama administration.
“Speaking immediately and in truth to the American folks is likely one of the most vital duties of a President, and this workforce can be entrusted with the large duty of connecting the American folks to the White Home,” Biden mentioned in a press release.
“These certified, skilled communicators deliver various views to their work and a shared dedication to constructing this nation again higher,” he added.
Karine Jean Pierre, who was Vice President-elect Kamala Harris’ chief of employees, will function a principal deputy press secretary for the president-elect. Pili Tobar, who was communications director for coalitions on Biden’s marketing campaign, can be his deputy White Home communications director.
