Even the ABC medical drama’s namesake runs afoul of some followers. “Sorry, however Meredith Gray is the worst character in Gray’s Anatomy, and Derek Shepherd is an in depth second,” tweeted one naysayer.
One BuzzFeed author would concur, having blasted Mer because the present’s “most annoying character ever” and an “ego-centric, narcissistic, whiney youngster” in a 2015 piece. (Can’t win all of them, Mer!)
