Dead by Daylight is the latest game to celebrate Resident Evil’s 25th anniversary, adding Leon, Jill, and Nemesis to the haunting online experience.
Behaviour Interactive’s Dead by Daylight counts as the latest title to participate in the celebration of Resident Evil‘s 25th anniversary, bringing Leon Kennedy, Jill Valentine, and Nemesis to the online experience. The commemoration of the groundbreaking franchise’s anniversary kicked off earlier this year. Notably, The Division 2 released limited-time Resident Evil items back in February.
Of course, publisher Capcom has been honoring the horror property in its own away over the course of the last several months. The company hosted a couple of Resident Evil-centric digital showcases to unveil details and gameplay footage in the lead up to Resident Evil Village’s release, for example. And while the main game hit retailers and digital storefronts a few weeks ago, fans are still waiting for the publisher to deploy the delayed multiplayer component, Resident Evil RE:Verse. Fortunately, there will soon be another online experience to tide fans over during the ongoing wait.
During today’s Dead by Daylight stream, developer Behaviour Interactive formally unveiled the previously promised Resident Evil crossover. The brief reveal trailer only runs 44 seconds in length, but confirms that Leon Kennedy and Jill Valentine will join the asymmetrical multiplayer title as survivors on June 15. Meanwhile, Resident Evil 3 antagonist Nemesis is entering the mix as a brand-new killer on the same date.
