Fairlawn Police explain abrupt closure of Summit Mall the day after Christmas

The mall was closed on account of altercations and COVD-19 considerations.

FAIRLAWN, Ohio — The Fairlawn Police Division is offering particulars on why Summit Mall abruptly closed the day after Christmas.

Based on a press launch, a number of juveniles determined to collect on the mall on December 26. Officers have been conscious of the occasions scheduled to happen and took essential measures to workers accordingly. 

After a number of incidents, officers made the choice to shut the mall. All the juveniles that have been congregating on the mall have been requested to go away and did so with none additional incidents. 

Police retort that regardless of social media claims, no gunshots have been fired on the mall. The loud banging that was heard have been shops closing their gates, police report.
