Guneet Monga Honoured by The French Foreign Minister

The women empowerment is not just the word which is limited to books now. The achievements and goals which women all over the world have been achieving in the present time is definitely a lot different from what people were knowing till few decades back. The Indian film producer Guneet Monga has been awarded with the Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters at the Residence of France for her esteemed work and contribution to the Indian cinema. To add the icing on the cake, Guneet has also won an Oscar for her extraordinary work which she has done in the movies like “The Lunchbox” and “Masaan”.

Guneet Monga Honoured by The French Foreign Minister

Guneet Monga is a well known and respected producers of the film fraternity of India as well as of the world. Her work has definitely caught attention this time as she was awarded the second highest civilian French honour by the French Foreign Minister Jean Yves Le Dria on Tuesday. Monga has been identified as the fearless women who has been identified from er distinctive work. Consequently she has been awarded for her outstanding work by the honourable people of different countries.

Guneet Monga has a production house named as the “Sikhya Entertainment”. She has acclaimed many projects based on the Indo-French productions which includes movies of some legendary artists. Firstly being the Irfan Khan starrer “The Lunchbox” and other being the movies having the genre of drama that were “Masaan” and “Taj Mahal”.

Recently Monga has been working on the project named as the “Indian Women Rising”. For this project she joined hands with the well renowned producer of Balaji Entertainment Ekta Kapoor along with the author-director Tahira Kashyap. Receiving the awards from such high dignitaries and having so much importance in the industry of work, Guneet Monga still managed to do the needful work and strive towards the women empowerment.

The french minister Le Drian said that he was feeling really special at that occasion as India and France share the same passion and zeal for excelling in the cinema industry. Guneet Monga has also won the Critics Week Viewers Choice Award at the 66th Cannes Film Festival for “The Lunchbox”. Before her, these prestigious awards have been grabbed by all superstars of film fraternity like Bruce Willis, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya rai Bachchan. The international Pop star Shakira, South Star Kamal Hasan are the previous awardees of this title. These title requires extreme hard work and talent to achieve such a position in their life and professional career.
