Here’s Where You’ve Seen Karen Kilgariff From in ‘I’ll Be Gone in the Dark’

Whereas she achieved important success as a comic and later a author in Hollywood, what really propelled Karen into the highlight was beginning the podcast My Favourite Homicide.

Georgia and Karen initially started chatting about true crime at a pal’s Halloween celebration in 2015, shortly after the discharge of the profitable true-crime podcastm Serial. Karen, as Georgia recollects to Rolling Stone, was telling others on the celebration a “morbid story” about an accident she had seen.

“I instantly ran throughout the room and was like, ‘Inform me every little thing,'” Georgia says. “As she was working ahead, everybody else was working away,” Karen provides. “It was an essential second for each of us.”

The second would show the start of a lifelong friendship and big success for the podcast, who’ve dominated the true crime market each with their profitable podcast, and their joint memoir, which borrows its title from the recommendation the women give their listeners on the finish of every episode: Keep Horny and Do not Get Murdered.
