What is Lyme disease?
Lyme disease is an infection that is caused by the bite of a Deer tick which transmits bacteria that gets into the human body and causes a very specific set of symptoms. Starting with a circular rash and then progressing to the involvement of many organs if it is not treated correctly including the skin, the heart, the joint, and sometimes the nervous system of the human body.
But the disease is not contagious so it cannot be transferred from one person to another by touch or sharing the food. It can be caused by the Deer tick which is carrying the disease.
