CLEVELAND — Cleveland Metroparks will hold a grand opening of its Lindsey Family Play Space at Edgewater Park on Friday afternoon.
You can stream the grand opening at WKYC.com, the WKYC app, Facebook Live, and YouTube.
The new Play Space will serve children of all ages and abilities. Located near the Upper Edgewater Picnic Shelter, the nearly one-acre accessible play area features a wide range of nature play opportunities including boulders, water and sand, as well as climbing structures and shaded areas.
The Play Space is the largest of its kind in Cleveland Metroparks and was made possible through a generous gift by Brett and Teresa Lindsey and the support of additional donors.
Friday’s unveiling of the Lindsey Family Play Space continues a busy summer of openings for Cleveland Metroparks. In the last few weeks, Cleveland Metroparks opened the Wendy Park Bridge and Whiskey Island Trail, Brigton Park, and the Red Line Greenway bike and pedestrian trail.
