Milburn Stone Aka “Doc” Didn’t Leave ‘Gunsmoke’ by Choice

Along with Gunsmoke, the present that really made him a legend (he obtained an Emmy Award for Excellent Efficiency by an Actor in a Supporting Position in a Drama in 1968), Milburn had lots of performing gigs on his resume between the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s. 

A few of these roles embrace Sky Patrol, Stunt Pilot, The Three Mesquiteers, A Physician’s Diary, Atlantic Flight, Climax!, Drango, TV Reader’s Digest, The Man Behind the Badge, Fireplace Theatre, Adventures of Wild Invoice Hickok, and plenty of extra.
