All Stars has proven a hit with both fans and former competitors. Challenge alum are reportedly lining up around the block for a spot on season 2.
The Paramount+ original The Challenge: All Stars has proved a hit on the new streaming service, and the show’s producer reports that MTV alum are practically lining up out the door for a spot on the inevitable second season. Fans have been hooked on All Stars and it’s not surprising—the show casts popular challengers from the series’ past and infuses the competition with a surprising amount of lighthearted fun. If the producer’s comments are any indication, there’s a bright future ahead for All Stars.
When the historic All Stars season was announced, fans were understandably excited. Once the show premiered, viewers couldn’t get enough of seeing their favorite MTV stars from the past return to compete for glory and a sizable prize. This season has been full of fierce competition, humor, and old friends (and enemies) reunited. The fan response has been overwhelmingly positive, and the show’s cast seems to be having a great time as well, so it’s no surprise that more of the show’s alum want a shot on the next All Stars season.

“We still have a lot of cast members that we haven’t tapped into that want to do the show,” executive producer Julie Pizzie told Us Weekly. “We have over 100 past Real World or Road Rules players that are interested in doing another cycle. People have reached out to us. It is, like, a wealth of great personalities that are willing to do it, because they thought it looked like a lot of fun.” Pizzie added that one of the best parts of All Stars was “watching the cast evolve.”
Pizzi also spoke about the kinds of contestants they seek to cast. “There are certain people who really are just all about the game and mostly play the game,” she said. “They might be incredibly strategic and really good at it, we also ask them to give of themselves and share their experiences and sort of, participate on a larger level. If we have some people that are mostly just really game players, we really do look for people who bring more to the table.”
With the popularity of The Challenge: All Stars, it’s promising for fans to hear that there are so many potential contestants eager to compete on the spin-off. It’s not surprising to see why either. The spin-off is so successful because of the nostalgia and fun being served up every episode. The end is near for the spin-off’s first season, but with such an enthusiastic response from fans and the show’s cast, a second season is all but certain.
