Nintendo’s ‘Smash Ultimate’ DLC may debut at The Game Awards 2019

While the Game Awards 2019 is just a few hours away, everyone is talking about Nintendo could announce something enormous at the Game Awards. Yes, the year’s biggest gaming event will start after a few hours by the host Geoff Keighley.

As the final event is about to start, many people are excited about Nintendo’s upcoming games as we know that Terry Bogard from the Fatal Fury series joined the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster as the game’s fourth DLC fighter. So, we haven’t heard any news about him, but the Nintendo of America Twitter account has tweeted “Get ready to celebrate a great year in gaming by catching #TheGameAwards tomorrow at 5:30pm PT https://thegameawards.com” So, it’s the huge hint from the Nintendo team that something huge is going to unveil at the Game Awards 2019 by the Nintendo team.

Last year, the first DLC character, Joker from Persona 5, was revealed. And the Smash Bros. Ultimate is nominated for two awards, so this year, Nintendo use it to reveal the first trailer of the next DLC addition. Well, it’s still under the hood. But gamers also excited as Host Geoff Keighley said that there would be ten surprise game reveals during the ceremony, hence one of the surprises would be the next Nintendo’s fighting game. Do you think so?

Also, the Nintendo team has added three new private videos on the Super Smash Bros YouTube channel, which also hints that the company will release the huge title this year by the announcement on The Game Awards. Well, the release of Nintendo Final Fighter is expected on February 29, 2020, so we could assume the fifth character to be unveiled at the Game Award.

It’s not sure that who could be the fifth DLC fighter. Still, many rumors suggested that the next DLC fighter character would the female as they hinted that it would be Lara Croft from the Tomb Raider series, Jill Valentine from Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, Halo’s Master Chief, new Pokémon from Sword and Shield or additional characters from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Nothing officially hinted from the game giant yet. But can watch the Game Award live to get every update from the biggest gaming event.


The Game Awards airs live and free on Thursday, December 12, at 8:30 pm ET / 5:30 pm PT as TGA Twitter page confirmed the time and date of The Game Award.
