Person dies after attempting icy water rescue in Litchfield Ohio

LITCHFIELD, Ohio — Litchfield Fireplace and Rescue Division is warning individuals to not try harmful rescues involving ice-covered waters after one fatality was reported after an try to avoid wasting an animal. 

The division shared a message on its Fb web page after it encountered two completely different water rescues on Saturday.

“It was a busy day all through the county at this time,” the submit says.
“The county water rescue workforce, comprised of members from numerous departments by the county, had 2 ice rescues concurrently. The Wayne County Dive workforce was referred to as to help with one of many calls.”

The division wrote that it usually sees water rescues when an individual goes out on ice-covered waters following a pet or animal.
