Pokémon Announces Grassy Gardening Plushes & Squirtle Watering Can

Pokémon Center Japan is launching a Pokémon Grassy Gardening collection, featuring grass-type Pokémon plushes, a Squirtle watering can, and more.

Grass-type Pokémon will soon be able to help fans grow beautiful gardens thanks to the new line of Grassy Gardening products coming to Pokémon Center Japan. At the moment, the collection is exclusive to Pokémon Center Japan online and in-store, but some products are heading to Amazon Japan at a later date.

It’s been quite the year so far for Pokémon-themed products around the globe. The Pokémon Company kicked off Pokémon‘s 25th anniversary celebrations in January, and the party is still going strong five months later. So far, fans have seen Pokémon collaborations with Levi’s, McDonald’s, Build-A-Bear Workshop, and even Universal Music Group. Pokémon GO and other titles have also hosted in-game events to celebrate the milestone. 2021 has been an even better year for the series’ core gaming fans, as it saw the release of New Pokémon Snap in April, a sequel over two decades in the making. On Pokémon Day, the long-rumored Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl remakes were revealed for a release by the year’s end and open-world Pokémon Legends: Arceus was announced for 2022.

As first spotted by Nintendo Soup, the Pokémon Grassy Gardening collection features four Pokémon plushes in their very own flower pots: Shaymin, Turtwig, Oddish, and Bulbasaur. Smaller plushes of Snivy, Hopip, and Rowlet also come with their own hanging planter keychains. Gardening tools in the collection include potted plants decorated with Pokémon art, a Squirtle watering can, and acrylic pick charms. The collection even includes a small desk figure featuring Pikachu and Squirtle tending to plants. Finally, there are a handful of other accessories and other products, including an apron, tote bags, slip-on sandals, storage baskets, aroma diffusers, badges, and cookies.

The gardening collection will be available in-store at Pokémon Center Japan on May 15. The items are already available at the store’s online shop, but the collection may sell out fast. The desk figure, badges, and yellow marigold ceramic pot are already gone. Most of the collection will also arrive on Amazon Japan at a later date, but it’s unclear if the site will allow international orders. Hopefully, the Pokémon Grassy Gardening collection will make its way to other regions soon.

This collection seems full of perfect gifts for any Pokémon fans with a knack for gardening. Products like the Squirtle watering can will also make great starter tools to teach younger fans how to garden. There’s plenty to choose from, but it’ll likely cost even locals a pretty penny if they want to collect ’em all.
