Police seek help ID’ing man who impersonated officer, stole car

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Police Division is searching for the general public’s assist figuring out a person needed for impersonating a police officer and theft of a motorized vehicle. 

On Tuesday, January 19, a girl was parked on Public Sq. round 5: 15 p.m. when a person approached her automobile. The suspect confirmed her a badge and instructed her she was illegally parked, police report. The person requested for her identification and acted as if he was verifying her id utilizing the  Cleveland Cleveland radio dispatch system. 

The suspect then instructed the girl to exit her automobile, depart her keys with him and go inside Tower Metropolis to get the particular person she was ready for. The girl did because the suspect instructed her and when she returned, he had pushed away in her automobile.
