ORLANDO, Fla. — A waitress “noticed one thing” and “mentioned one thing,” police say. And, due to her efforts, officers say she helped a boy escape from “harmful abuse.”
Police say waitress Flavaine Carvalho was working at an Orlando restaurant on New 12 months’s Day when she noticed a household withholding meals from an 11-year-old boy at one of many tables. Officers say she noticed bruises on his physique and determined to take motion.
In response to police, the girl created an indication to secretly ask if the boy if he wanted assist. When the boy signaled “sure,” officers say she known as police.
