New York Metropolis police say a 35-year-old homeless man has been arrested within the assault on the 67-year-old actor, recognized for ‘Spaceballs’ and ‘Honey I Shrunk the Youngsters.’
NEW YORK — A New York man was arrested Saturday in reference to an unprovoked assault in opposition to Rick Moranis that occurred because the 67-year-old actor was strolling close to Central Park in October.
New York Metropolis police stated 35-year-old Marquis Ventura, whom authorities listed as homeless, was arrested Saturday afternoon. It wasn’t recognized if Ventura had retained an lawyer who might remark.
Moranis, recognized for his work within the 1980s sketch comedy sequence “Second Metropolis Tv” and roles in motion pictures akin to “Ghostbusters,” “Spaceballs” and “Honey I Shrunk the Youngsters,” was strolling on a sidewalk close to Central Park on the morning of Oct. 1 when he was attacked.

Video launched by police confirmed a person carrying a black “I (coronary heart) NY” sweatshirt hit Moranis with a sucker punch and knock him to the bottom.
Police did not establish Moranis on the time, however Moranis’s consultant, Troy Bailey, confirmed the actor had been attacked. Police characterised it as a “random, unprovoked assault.”
