Are you Sony’s PS lover? Waited a long to see something about the next PS5 console? If yes, then the good news is here as Sony Corporation just revealed something exciting about the PlayStation 5 at the CES 2020.
Just like me, many people have been waiting at the CES 2020 event and hoping for some PS5 news from Sony. But Sony didn’t reveal much about its upcoming gaming console as they showcase the new logo of PS5.
While thousands of people were waiting to see the new PS5 hardware at the CES 2020, Sony Interactive Entertainment head Jim Ryan only showed the PlayStation 5 new logo along with the PS5 release date confirmation.
Well, they haven’t revealed much about the new PS5 console, but they had previously confirmed some detail about the console like the solid-state hard drive and the holiday 2020 release date. Just like PS5, Microsoft’s next console Xbox Series X will hit the market somewhere in the 2020 holidays.
After a long build, Sony still didn’t show off the much anticipated new PS5 at CES. Instead, it showed us the logo. It isn’t shocking, but it’s pretty sweet. Sony changed the 4 to a 5, and… it’s rounder? Sony confirmed a holiday 2020 release date for the new console. Instead of showing the new physical hardware, it confirmed a number of other exciting specs, but specs we already knew about, such as 3D audio support and an SSD hard drive for faster load times.
It’s very disappointing that we didn’t get more detail about the PS5 console, but just like the previous console, Sony might showcase its PS5 in company’s February event. Meanwhile, recently one of the Facebook users posted the image of PS5 as he’s working in PS5 dev kit prototypes. Many more PS5 leaks are on the way, guys! So, stay tuned for more news and updates about Sony’s upcoming PlayStation 5 console!
At the CES 2020, Sony also showed the sales data for its PlayStation related hardware, which is PS4 sales at 106 million, up about 3 million units from late 2019. PSVR sales increased to 5 million. 1.15 billion PS4 games have been sold. That’s very interesting!
