South Park TikTok Videos Imagine How Cartman Would Sing Linkin Park & Green Day

South Park Cartman Green Day Linkin Park

New TikTok videos show an artist performing Green Day’s “Good Riddance” and Linkin Park’s “In the End” as Eric Cartman from South Park.

New TikTok videos imagine how South Park‘s Eric Cartman would sing Green Day’s “Good Riddance,” Linkin Park’s “In the End,” and more. South Park, now over 300 episodes long, has been no stranger to music, the majority of which has been written and composed by the series two creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker. With the series bringing back classic elements in the new specials, Cartman is known for delivering unique performances of some of the greatest pop hits.

Cartman’s love of pop music can be traced all throughout the impressive run of the Comedy Central animated cartoon. Cartman has gone from singing “Wild Wild West” with Clyde Frog to singing Radiohead’s “Creep” while standing in the bushes in front of the Tenorman residence. He even once sang one of the greatest renditions of Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face” to be performed on the small screen. His songs are often a highlight in the episodes, and Stone and Parker have done well with consistently parodying the most current music in pop culture.

Now, FernandoUfret has posted a video on TikTok of him singing Green Day’s “Good Riddance” as Cartman. The artist later uploaded another video to Twitter of him singing “Pure Imagination,” and Twitter user Sammy shared a video of him performing Linkin Park’s “In the End.” The videos feature Fernando sitting behind an acoustic guitar as he perfectly matches the vocal stylings of the 10-year-old.

The above is only a small sample of songs that FernandoUfret has sung as Cartman. Over the past few days, FernandoUfret has uploaded versions of “Pure Imagination,” the Friends theme song, in addition to the song Cartman originally obsessed over in the show’s second season, “Come Sail Away.” Based on the videos, it’s clear FernandoUfret can not only mimic Cartman but also has a strong understanding of the character.

FernandoUfret has reminded fans of what made the sociopathic hate-filled boy a beloved icon. Recent South Park specials have involved the pandemic, but they have also started re-focusing on Stan, Kyle, Eric, and Kenny. With the series already returning to its roots in certain aspects, such as the reintroduction of characters and the return of Mr. Garrison as a Fourth Grade teacher, fans can only hope the series features more of Cartman’s musical obsession. It might be sometime before South Park returns to season 24, but for now, fans can get their fill of Cartman with this TikTok user’s videos.
