The Cleveland Police Department is investigating a crash that left a 9-year-old girl injured on Friday.
The child was struck on July 30, just before noon, on the sidewalk near the 6200 block of Lorain Avenue.
According to reports, the girl was running southbound across Lorain Avenue, a non-cross walk area, when she was struck by a 2009 Toyota Rav4. The car was driven by a 17-year-old male.
The 9-year-old girl was transported MetroHealth Medical Center where she was treated for a broken elbow and arm.
It is unknown at this time the if the teen driver will face any repercussions as a result of the accident.
