Tesla Cybertruck vs Ford F150: Who Will Win The Race?

Tesla Cybertruck vs Ford F150

Since the launch of Tesla’s new Cybertruck on Thursday, Elon Musk has been tweeting furiously about the number of pre-orders of the new Tesla Cybertruck on its official Tweeter page. During the live event of Cybertruck, the company’s first electric truck saw its ‘unbreakable’ windows shatter, but it didn’t stop Musk to talk about the US’s best selling truck Ford F-150.

Yes, the war between Tesla Cybertruck and Force has just begun as Elon Musk posted the video of Cybertruck taking part in a tug of war with a Ford F-150 and the electric Cybertruck simply overpowering the Ford pickup. The video posted on Tweeter by Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

After some time, scientist Neil deGrasse Tyson paddled in to give his view on Twitter and wrote:

“Electric vehicles are famously heavy – over both axles. It’s all about the weight borne by spinning tires. That’s the source of traction, not the engine power.”

And Musk replied “Electric motors also have insane torque. If we load both trucks to the max, electric still wins. Physics is the law, everything else is a recommendation.”

Then again Tyson replied “A badass @Tesla looking like it’s doing a badass thing. But if the @Ford F-150 is RWD **with no payload** then weight on the Rear Axle is greatly reduced, offering only mild traction for the Tesla to overcome. This contest is more about the Physics of Friction than Engine Power.”

Also, Ford’s vice president- Sundeep Madra replied “hey @elonmusk send us a cybertruck and we will do the apples to apples test for you”

And after Musk responded quickly: “Bring it on,” adding that he’ll “aim to do this next week.”

Well, just like scientist Neil deGrasse Tyson, many other blogs also gave their opinions about the tug of war since Elon Musk’s video gone viral. They pointed out that The F-150 seems to be a rear-wheel-drive model, and the Cybertruck is an all-wheel drive. Also, the engine of F-150 is lighter than Cybertruck, which is a lower-spec STX package with a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine. Hence, that’s obvious that Cybertruck can easily overpower the Ford pickup.

Are you wondering will Force give a challenge to Tesla’s Cybertruck? If so, then let me tell you that Ford spokesperson admitted to TechCrunch that that was nothing but a bit of trolling to point out “the absurdity” of Tesla’s video. Also, they told that,

“With America’s best-selling truck for 42 years, we’ve always focused on serving our truck customers regardless of what others say or do. We look forward to our all-new F-150 hybrid coming next year and all-electric F-150 in a few years.”

Over the weekend, Elon Musk also tweeted that “Better truck than an F-150, faster than a Porsche 911,” He also continuously tweeting about the increasing number of pre-orders of its futuristic Tesla Cybertruck. Well, the war has just started; more buzz is still coming.
