CLEVELAND — If you’re a fan of water activities and looking for something to do this weekend, head on down to Wendy Park, where the Interscholastic Sailing Association’s Mallory Regatta is happening.
More than 150 high school sailors from across the country, including the U.S. Virgin Islands, will compete in this two-day regatta. Two teams come from The Foundry, the host of the event this year.
The sailors will depart from the Historic Cleveland Coast Guard Station, where they are assigned boats. All participants had to qualify to compete.
The Mallory trophy is the oldest high school sailing trophy around, donated by Clifford D. Mallory in 1930.
Spectators can watch from Wendy Park or Edgewater.
