Elizabeth Olsen confirms that Scarlet Witch can travel through the multiverse despite this particular skill not explicitly shown in WandaVision.
WandaVision focused on Scarlet Witch, but it didn’t reveal that she apparently has the ability to travel through the multiverse. Marvel Studios kicked off Phase 4 with the sitcom-inspired series that saw Wanda and Vision attempt to live the ideal suburbia life in Westview; the pair even got their twin sons, Billy and Tommy. But as it turns out, it was only possible through the use of Chaos magic.
Once the hex was removed, Wanda’s family also had to disappear with it. But although WandaVision ended similar to the way it began, with Scarlet Witch being alone, her experience in Westview informed her that there’s more to her magical skills than she understands. The series did a great job highlighting the character’s powers, something that the MCU hadn’t done until the Disney+ project despite the hero being in the franchise since 2015. In its stinger, she’s revealed to be studying the Darkhold, unknowingly learning dark magic. As Wanda properly establishes herself as one of, if not the strongest heroes in the universe at this point, it turns out that she has other impressive abilities that she hasn’t used on screen just yet.

During her recent appearance on The Hollywood Reporter’s Award Chatter (via CBR), Olsen casually revealed that Wanda “has a few fun powers. You know, telekinesis, she can travel between universes…” Unfortunately, the actress didn’t expand on the information, perhaps realizing that she may have revealed a bit too much especially considering that it’s not exactly hinted at during WandaVision. Nevertheless, this detail tracks with her next MCU outing in Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
During San Diego Comic-Con 2019, Marvel Studios confirmed that after Scarlet Witch’s outing in Westview, she will join the MCU’s future Sorcerer Supreme in his second standalone film. With that, the story of WandaVision directly leads into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. There was an assumption that the Master of the Mystic Arts would somehow be involved in the Maximoff Anomaly, which, for a time, was going to be the case until Kevin Feige pulled the idea out. Instead, Wanda and Doctor Strange’s first proper meeting is being saved for the big screen, although it’s still uncertain how this will play out considering that there’s no clear connection between them yet.
While WandaVision never showed Scarlet Witch traveling through the multiverse, there were a couple of hints in the show regarding this, particularly the Nexus commercial. It could be referring to the character being a Nexus Being which is described as a “rare individual entities with the power to affect probabilities — and thus the future.” In addition to that, her ability to use Chaos Magic allows her to alter reality itself which was how she created the fake fantastical world she inhabited briefly in Westview. Then again, the very idea that she joins Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is one of the most important indicators that she can actually travel through these different realities.
