Following Tito’s loss of life, Humacao mayor Luis Raúl Sánchez declared a five-day mourning interval, beginning on Saturday. “I contacted a household spokesperson to supply and make out there the services of the Marcelo Trujillo Panisse Coliseum for the wake of our buddy and Humacaeño Tito Rojas,” Luis mentioned in a press release, based on CNN en Español.
Wanda Vázquez Garced, governor of Puerto Rico, marked the loss in a tweet on Saturday. “We and the world of salsa are in mourning with the unhappy departure of our Tito Rojas, Gallo Salsero,” Wanda wrote in Spanish. “Our household loves salsa, and we deeply really feel his departure. A hug of solidarity from us to your loved ones members. Relaxation in peace!”
Gilberto Santa Rosa, a Puerto Rican singer and bandleader referred to as “El Caballero de la Salsa” or “The Gentleman of Salsa,” tweeted, “My pricey Gallo, we’re going to miss you and bear in mind you in each music, in each saying and in each gesture of affection and companionship that you just left.”
And on Instagram that day, Puerto Rican reggaeton singer Don Omar posted a photograph of Tito and wrote, “Relaxation in peace.”
