AKRON, Ohio — A statewide lacking grownup alert has been canceled after authorities say the 70-year-old girl who was listed as endangered was discovered protected early Wednesday morning by the Akron Police Division.
The alert was issued in a single day after authorities say Brenda Clegg was kidnapped by her son from her residence on West Market Avenue in Akron round 10:33 p.m. Tuesday. Police have been asking for the general public to be looking out for a purple Kia Spectrum that authorities say was linked to the alleged kidnapping.
