A string of new TV spots for Young Sheldon’s season 4 finale reveals what exactly is bothering Missy that she ends up running away from home.
CBS releases a string of new TV spots for Young Sheldon‘s season 4 finale revealing what’s exactly bothering Missy. The Big Bang Theory‘s prequel spin-off only has one episode left before wrapping up its current year. And based on sneak peeks that have been rolled out, it’s shaping to be a more dramatic outing compared to the rest of the season.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Young Sheldon season 3 ended early with only 21 episodes instead of the usual 22. As the global health pandemic continued in 2020, season 4 is much shorter, capping off at just 18 outings. Still, there’s a lot of things that have happened in the sitcom’s ongoing year. For starters, Sheldon graduates high school and formally begins college at East Texas Tech. Meanwhile, Mary and George Sr’s marriage is slowly beginning to be troubled. Finally, Missy gets her first boyfriend — something that will further play out in the upcoming finale.
As Young Sheldon season 4’s last episode nears its release, CBS has rolled out a string of TV spots for the outing titled “The Wild and Woolly World of Nonlinear Dynamics.” The clips shared by TV Promos confirm that Missy is going through some boy problems, hence why she’s in a bad mood. Check out the compilation videos below:
It’s worth remembering that earlier in the season, Missy has started casually dating a guy from her school. While Mary and George Sr. are busy with other things and Sheldon could barely be bothered with his siblings, Georgie was the one to chaperon his sister on her first movie date. Since then, however, the plot point has never been mentioned again, so it’s curious why it’s suddenly become Young Sheldon season 4’s final narrative. The issue appears to be very serious enough for Missy to run away from home — something that was confirmed from the first teaser of the said episode. Interestingly, Sheldon appears to be the one offering support to his twin — a clever switch from the year’s premiere where Missy encouraged him to push through with college after having second thoughts.
Elsewhere in the Young Sheldon season 4 finale, Mary and George Sr. will get into an argument. While the promos do not reveal the reason why, chances are that it has something to do with the twins leaving home. Before that, however, it’s worth noting that in the latest spots, the Cooper patriarch seems to be in a somber mood. Unfortunately, Sheldon is a bit too self-centered to notice that his dad is also having a rough day. It’s curious if this will finally start his downward spiral leading to his infidelity and eventual death.
